TEASA Elections Observer Recruitment Drive

The future turns on our votes. Therefore, let us model faith in the possibility of a better future for all.

On the 29th May, many South Africans will go to the polls to cast their vote. Some will stay home because they have lost all hope in the possibility of change.

Thankfully, Christianity was invented for such a time as this, when darkness and hopelessness threaten to squeeze the life out of God’s people.  TEASA News urges its readers to use their vote to proclaim hope in a better Republic.

To play our part in strengthening our democracy, TEASA ran a campaign to recruit volunteers to form part of a Civil Society effort toward an independent Election Observer mission. This was done in collaboration with the South African Council of Churches (SACC) and the Defend our Democracy (DoD) movement. This is with a view to offer Civil society and Faith groups a way to protect the integrity of the Election Process, a pillar of our democracy.
