West Papua comprises the western half of the island of New Guinea. It borders Papua New Guinea to the east. Indonesia colonised West Papua in the 1960s and over 500,000 people have been killed since then, in military operations.
For the last 5 years, TEASA has partnered with the Evangelical Church in West Papua (GIDI) in advocacy and solidarity visits. TEASA General Secretary, Reverend Moss Ntlha, will be in West Papua from the 21st to the 29th of June, on a solidarity and ministry visit invitation, working with GIDI.
Please pray for the Freedom of the people of West Papua and the Witness of the Churches. Pray also for TEASA General Secretary’s visit.
