The Evangelism and Church Planting Commission exists to strengthen the Church’s commitment to the Great Commission. As a member of the Church Planting Alliance, it plays a vital role in mobilising, equipping, and expanding church-planting efforts across Southern Africa and beyond.

 •  Networking leaders in strategic church-planting partnerships
 •  Facilitating church-planting projects at national, provincial, and city levels
 •  Researching the harvest force and field in our nation

The Missions Commission exists to fulfil the vision that “the whole South African Church takes the whole gospel to the whole world.” As part of the World Evangelization Network of South Africa (WENSA), we are committed to mobilising, equipping, and connecting individuals and churches to advance the Great Commission.

Theology Commission Purpose

The Theology Commission exists to promote solid biblical and theological reflection on critical issues of faith, public life, and societal transformation. Evangelicals have a distinct voice in these discussions and play a vital role in shaping theological understanding within the church and broader society.

Theological Colloquiums

The Commission organises colloquiums where evangelical scholars gather for fellowship, reflection, and publication to benefit the wider church community.

Evangelicalism and the Reformation – The role of Evangelical Theology in South Africa (2018)
Evangelicals and the Challenge of Decolonization – Addressing decolonial conversations within theology (2020)

 •  Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response – Partnered with TEASA’s GBV & F Task Team to develop a theological response to gender-based violence.

Marketplace Commission Purpose

The Marketplace Commission exists to equip, support, and disciple evangelical leaders and managers to integrate faith, work, and business life effectively. It provides a platform for networking, ethical leadership advocacy, and spiritual growth within the marketplace.

Objectives

•  Mobilising Marketplace Leaders – Creating a supportive network for evangelical professionals.
•  Advocating Ethical Leadership – Promoting integrity and transformation in business practices.
•  Developing Thought Leadership – Exploring the intersection of faith, work, and business to inspire change.

Current Activities

Prayer Fellowships – Supporting and celebrating Christian leaders promoted to senior positions in the marketplace.
Thought Sessions – Regular leadership discussions on faith, work, and business to encourage ethical decision-making.
